The Hua Shan plank path: Danger, Beauty & Tea

Are you in the mood for adventure and feeling like having a delicious cup of tea? Then I have found the perfect place for you: Mt. Hua Shan.

Mt. Hua Shan is located in China, near the city of Huayin in Shaanxi province, about 120 kilometres east of Xi’an. There, you can find a walkway that was built between 1901 and 1905 to provide workers the means to cross between two hydroelectric power plants at Chorro Falls and Gaitanejo Falls. The Hua Shan plank path is known for being the world’s most dangerous trail.

Check out the pictures and you can see why…

At the very top of the southern peak is a Taoist temple that was converted into a teahouse.Thousands of people climb the world’s most dangerous path to end up at a teahouse.
